Sugarcane production of India for 2014-2015 year estimated at 342.79 million tonnes (MT), though lower by 7.23 million tonnes (MT) than the last year, but it is higher by 5.40 million tonnes (MT) than its average production. Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat and Karnataka are the major sugarcane producing states in India.
