Sugar mills in India produced 246.03 lakh tonnes of sugar from the beginning of the current 2015-16 season till 30th April 2016, according to Indian Sugar Mills Association(ISMA). The output is down 11 per cent as compared to 276.04 lakh tonnes produced in 2014-15 at the same corresponding period, ISMA said in the statement.
