India’s sugar production has recorded an increase of 3.2 million tonnes at 26.35 million tonnes as on April 15, 2015. During the same period last year, sugar production was recorded at 23.15 million tonnes, Indian Sugar Mills Association (ISMA) said. Main reasons for increase in production are increase in recovery percentage of sugar.
