Indian sugar prices were in bearish trend because of huge carryover stocks, coupled with increasing supplies, as millers in major producing states such as Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Gujarat and Karanataka have started crushing fresh season crop. At Kolhapur spot market, sugar prices were fell by around Rs 10 per quintal.
