Indan sugar production surged 33 per cent to 7.61 lakh tonnes as on 15th November, 2015. The sugar mills produced 5.74 lakh tonnes Sugar last year upto the corresponding period, according to Indian Sugar Mills Assocation. Indian Sugar Mills Assocation data revealed that 175 mills have started crushing as against 155 in 2014-15 same time.
