Brazil's sugar mills will take several years to recover from a crippling drought that slashed output and now threatens the dry fields of the main center-south cane belt with wildfires, industry association of cane said. As world's largest exporter of sugar, Brazil's drought has already stoked worries about a shrinking global surplus.
