As per the Indian Sugar Mills Association (ISMA) data, sugar output of Uttar Pradesh has increased to 180000 tons against one lakh ton in the corresponding period of the last marketing year. Sugar production in Maharashtra state reached 1.287 million tons till November 2015 as compared to the 1.195 million tons in the year-ago period.
