As per the 3rd Advance Estimates released by the Department of Agriculture and Cooperation, the production of sugarcane across the states of India is estimated at 356.56 million tonnes for 2014-15 which is higher by 4.42 million tonnes as compared to last year. Cane crushing is almost towards end in the key producing states.
