According to Brazil's Biosev, the pause between current and the new sugarcane crop will be shorter than normal and that there is potential for another large crop in 2016-17. Prices in sugar market are starting to turn around, indicated by a rally last week, as a sugar supply deficit looms and some producers refuse to sell the sugar at the current prices scenario.
