From October 1’ 2016 to February 28’ 2017, Sugar mills in Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh produced 2.45 LT, 4.50 LT, 3.75 LT and 3.70 LT of sugar. 38 sugar mills in Tamil Nadu produced 6.90 LT of sugar during the period October 1’ 2016 to February 28’ 2017.
