The number of Asian soybean rust fungus cases in Brazil has nearly doubled from the previous year due to heavy rainfall in the south triggered by El Ninno. From June until Today, there have been 73 incidents of the fungus that attacks plants in humid conditions, mostly in the southern states of Rio Grande do Sul and Parana.
