Soybean| SOPA has estimated a 3-5% drop in Soybean

SOPA has estimated a 3-5% drop in Soybean sowing to 112.173 lakh hectares. The drop in acreage is reported in key growing states like MP and Rajasthan. In MP acreage is likely to drop by 8% to 54.25 lakh hectares versus 59.06 in 2015 and in Rajasthan by 15 to 20% to 8.82 lakh hectares versus 11.04 last year. SOPA attributed the decline to a crop shift to Pulses and Maize.
