As per the data released by Ministry of Agriculture on July 21, Soybean sowing is down by more than 17% than the same time of last year. So far, only 84.57 lakh hectares has been sown with soybean compared to 102.84 lakh hectares sown at the same time last year. This year excess rains in key soybean growing state Madhya Pradesh has prevented the timely sowing of Soybean crop.
