As per the data by Ministry of Agriculture, This year sesame sowing has picked up as area covered so far is 0.83 lakh hectares that is up by 0.69 lakh hectares of the last year sowing of the same time. Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat area the largest sesame producer states.
