Red Chilli prices are hovering between Rs. 110-140 per kg on strong demand from China. Production shortfall of 15% from the previous season also supported the prices. India had record Chilli exports in 2015-16 though volumes went up marginally but value increased 12 percent over the previous year to about Rs. 4,000 crore.
