United states Department of Agriculture (USDA) has lowered India's rice production estimates to around 100 million tons (MT) for 2014-15 marketing year (Oct-Sep), declined about 6% from an estimated 106.54 million tons (MT) in MY 2013-14 and down about 3% from USDA's official estimate of around 103 million tons (MT).
