Paddy| The area under sowing of rabi rice in India.

The area under sowing of rabi rice in India is at 27.04 lakh hectares this year while the last year’s figure was 31.51 lakh hectares, as per the recent data released by Ministry of Agriculture.  Rice is expected to trade higher in key markets of India because of decline in kharif arrivals and on likely lower year-on-year rabi sowing.
