Rice is major cereal crop in India. Rice transplanting and sowing is getting pick up in key producing states. As per the reports received from States to Agriculture Ministry, India’s total rice sown and transplanted area in 2015-16 as on 12th June, stands at 4.71 lakh hectares as compared to 4.52 lakh hectares at this time last year.
