Rice crop is in reproductive growth stage in Tamil Nadu. In the prevailing weather condition stem borer incidence is noticed in rice. In the leaf tip brown colored egg masses of this pest were noticed. Presently the harvesting of late matured paddy is going on at some places. In India, paddy is cultivated in all the three seasons.
