Prevailing dry weather is congenial for incidence of leaf folder and stem borer in rice in the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana states. Presently land preparation activities are going on in some pockets of Kerala state for puncha rice crop. Harvesting of matured samba rice is going on in the Cauvery Delta Zone of the TN state.
