Paddy| Philippines will hold an emergency meeting

Philippines will hold an emergency meeting to determine the need for urgent, additional rice imports. The National Food Authority (NFA) Council had been due to meet on October 29 to review the country's rice supplies and discuss increased imports of up to 1 million tonnes due to forecasts of a severe El Nino-induced dry weather in the country.
