Paddy| Kharif sowing has started in full swing

Kharif sowing has started in full swing with monsoon covering all over the India.  As per the ministry's latest data, area sown to Paddy is around 19.86 lakh ha against the 21.86 lakh ha covered at the same time last year.  As per third advance estimates, Rice production stood 90.59 mt in 2015/16 against 91.39 Million tonnes produced in 2014/15.
