Paddy| India is likely to produce 90.6 million tons

India is likely to produce 90.6 million tons rice in 2015-16 from summer-sown crop, a tad lower than last year on account of drought, the government said in its first advance estimate. Crop has been planted on 36.84 million hectares against 36.65 million hectares a year ago. Rains were 14% below average so far over four-months monsoon.
