In Konkan region (Maharashtra), harvesting of matured mid late and late maturing rice variety is started. This season paddy harvesting is delayed on account of the late sowing or transplanting. Prevailing humid and wet weather conditions are congenial for blast and sheath blight in rice in the Southern Zone of Kerala.
