Due to rise in temperatures, there is chance of incidence of stem borer and hispa in rice at tillering stage in the southern states. Prevailing temperature conditions are congenial for incidence of stem borer in rice in the North Coastal Zone of Andhra Pradesh. Acephate or Chlorpyriphos is effective insecticides against this insect.
