As per the second Advance Estimate, the production of rice in India stands at 103.04 million tonnes for 2014-15 year. Total food grains production in the country is estimated at 257.07 million tonnes for 2014-15 year. As compared to last year, this year production of food grains across the country is lower by 8.50 million tonnes.
