As per the latest reports received from States to central Agriculture Ministry, the total area under rabi rice as on 10 March 2015 stands at 40.56 lakh hectare. Total area under rabi rice and summer crops across the states of India stands at 59.31 lakh hectare. Paddy is cultivated in all three seasons (Kharif, Rabi and Summer) in the country.
