As per the estimates of the Ministry of Agriculture, production of paddy in India has been pegged at 106 million tonnes for 2014-15. India has estimated 261 million tonnes of the food grain output during the 2014-15 fiscal year, according to Indian minister of state for agriculture and food processing industries.
