As on 9th September, Paddy has been transplanted in an area of 380.28 lakh hectares as compared to 370.04 lakh hectares transplanted at the same time last year. Till date, Paddy acreage is down by more than 3% than the normal in season area of 392.67 lakh hectares. Uttar Pradesh has the largest acreage of 59.03 lakh hectares under paddy transplantation.
