Sowing area under total rabi oil seeds in India is at 67.95 lakh hectares as compared to 75.09 lakh hectares previous year. Mustard is the major rabi oilseed crop in India. Presently thinning activities are going on in mustard field. Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Gujarat are the major mustard seed producing states in India.
