Rajasthan is the major mustard seed producing state, contributing up to 47 per cent of the domestic production, followed by Madhya Pradesh (11.44 per cent), Haryana (12 per cent) and Uttar Pradesh (10.41 per cent). Recent untimely rains in northern parts of India have disturbed harvesting activities of mustard crop, according to the Agriculture Experts.
