Mustard sowing activities are started in the key producing states of North India. Pusa Mahak, Pusa Agrani, Pusa Jaikisan, Pusa Bold, Jaggannath are the mustard varieties. The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs, hiked the minimum support price (MSP) for mustard by Rs 50 to Rs 3100 per quintal for marketing in the 2015-2016 season.
