Mustard is the major rabi season’s oil seed crop in India. Presently thinning activities are going on in mustard producing field. Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Gujarat are the major mustard seed producing states in India. Sowing area under total rabi oil seeds in India is at 67.95 lakh hectares as compared to 75.09 lakh hectares last year.
