Mustard is the major rabi oilseed crop in India. Sowing area under total oilseeds in India is at 78.47 lakh hectares as compared to 86.92 lakh hectares last year, according to the recent report released by Ministry of Agriculture. Attack of white rust disease is reported on mustard crop in the key producing states of the North India.
