Mustard is the major rabi oilseed crop in India. According to the agriculture experts, in North India presently thinning activities are going in the mustard field for keeping proper plant to plant distance i.e. 10-12 centimeter. Major mustard seed producing states in India are Haryana, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh.
