According to the recent data from Directorate of Oilseeds Development, mustard sowing in the country was seen at 6.0 million ha, down 6.8% from 6.5 million hectares a year ago. Indian mustard future prices were showing bullish trend on account of the dry weather and weak sowing in northern states may dent the output this year.
