Production of summer Moong in Punjab has brought some smile to farmers face this year. As per Punjab Govt, yield was good at 5 quintal per acre this year and per quintal fetches Rs. 6,000 to farmers. In Punjab, moong was cultivated on nearly 60,000 ha and due to protection from unseasonal rains in May and June, summer moong gave a good yield.
