Prices of Moong has slipped below the Minimum Support Prices on new season arrivals. especially the early variety from Karnataka and Maharashtra. Prices have slipped below the MSP of Rs. 5225 per quintal in mandies despite procurement by government agencies. Moong prices have fallen over 50% since the sowing started in June.
