Maize| The maize harvest in the Black Sea region

The maize harvest in the Black Sea region is expected to fall by about 9 percent to 47 million tonnes this year as hot and dry weather is expected during key pollination and seed-filling periods. Black Sea producer Ukraine, which is the world's fourth largest maize producer in 2014, may reduce its harvest to 23 million tonnes from 25.9 million in 2014.
