The International Grains Council has raised its forecast for global maize production in 2016/17 to 1.035 billion tons, up from 1.027 billion tons in September. Global Maize production in 2015/16 was 971 million tons. The Consumption is projected at 1.023 billion tons, up from 1.019 billion tons projected a month ago.
