Presently summer maize sowing activities are going on in Rajasthan and Jharkhand. Farmers are sowing high yield varieties of maize. In Bihar, rise in temperature along with high humidity will favour the incidence of stem borer in maize. Application of Carbofuran 3G granules is effective to control stem borer.
