Maize prices are declined below the minimum support price (MSP) in the major spot markets in India on account of less demand and higher new crop arrivals. At Sangli spot market, maize prices were Rs 1200-1280 per quintal. This year central government declared Rs 1310 per quintal minimum support price (MSP) for best quality maize.
