Maize is sown in kharif, rabi and summer season in India. Presently rabi maize crop is in reproductive growth stage. The area under sowing of total coarse cereals across the states in India was recorded at 5.64 million hectares, as compared to last year’s 5.96 million hectares, according to recent updates from the Agriculture Ministry.
