India canceled a tender to import 240,000 tonnes of corn, hoping for a expected local summer harvest and following uncertainty over availability of non-genetically modified corn, trade and government sources said. Private analytics firm Informa Economics raised its forecast for US 2016 corn plantings to 89.5 million acres.
