Global maize production to drop by 3.4% to 974.9 million metric tons (MMT) compared to 1008.7 MMT last year. Maize prices are expected to recover from multi-year low on lower production estimates in US, European Union, Brazil, Argentina and Ukraine. However, recovery is likely to be gradual and moderate due to higher ending stocks.
