Early sown rabi maize harvesting were started in some places in the key producing states. Maize prices were prevailing below the minimum support price (Rs 1310 per quintal) in the major spot markets in India on account of less demand and higher new arrivals. At Sangli spot market in Maharashtra, maize prices were Rs 1200-1275 per quintal.
