Due to humid weather condition in North India, there are chances of stem borer incidence on late sown maize crop. Early sown-rabi maize harvesting is started in the key producing states of India. Maize prices were slightly up in the major spot markets of the country but they were still prevailing below the MSP i.e Rs 1310 per quintal.
