China found buyers for only 0.7% of nearly 5.4 million tonnes of state corn on offer this week, the lowest so far in the year, after Beijing cut the state support price for the new harvest due next month. Government sold 35,861 tonnes of corn at an average price of CNY2,271 ($356.31) per tonne, as per the online grains trading platform.
