As per the Ministry of Agriculture, as on July 7, maize has been sown in around 41.49 lakh hectares, which is higher than 41.23 lakh hectares covered during corresponding period last year. Maize prices are trading steady at Rs. 1470 per quintal in Ahmedabad region of Gujarat.
