The main buyers of Indian jute products are the United States, Canada, Russia, UAR, Australia, U.K., Czech Republic and Slovakia, etc. The Ganga-Brahmaputra delta grows about 90 per cent of India’s jute. Kolkata is one of the biggest port which helps in the import of machinery and spare parts and also help in the export of finished jute products.
